The engine that's in the Eagle has been stood around for sometime without being run.It starts and runs fine but it smokes and the CO2 reading that we got off it is through the roof. This is due to the piston rings being stuck plus the valve stem seals have probably gone hard too.
So the quickest way to get around this is to change the engine out for another one.
The replacement engine bolted to the stand ready for work to start. We know the history of this lump it was fitted in another kit car a few years ago and has only done about 2000 miles since it had a full rebuild.
It already has a Kent Cams FR31 Mild Road Cam fitted along with new pistons with a 0.75 oversize rebore.
The engine stripped down to the block. It will now be cleaned, painted and put back together with new gasket sets
