When the block was being painted I found that the front core plug had a rust hole in it, so it had to be replaced.
A look on the Internet found a full set of core plugs at a good price, so a set was ordered and came in the post with in a few days.
The damaged core plug removed, this is an easy job to do by tapping them out.
The edge of the block is then cleaned up with some wet&dry paper.
The new core plug in place. I used a small amount of sealing compound around the plug to make sure its water tight.
At the same time I also renewed the rear core plug just in case it suffered the same fate as the front plug as it would be a hell of a job to do once the engine as been fitted into the Eagle.
