
The cylinder head on the work bench ready to be stripped down.

The first job is to remove all the manifold studs from the head.
This is done by locking two nuts on to the stud and then turning them out of the head.

Cam shaft and followers removed.

Valves taken out of the head, at this stage all is in good order and can be reused. The head will now be cleaned along with the block and painted.
The valves will be examined for pitting but should be OK, then ground back into there seats.
