Exhaust Manifold

The standard Pinto exhaust manifold is going back on the engine as there is no need for a performances system to be fitted.

The manifold had two broken bolts in it where the heat shield fits. So the first job to do was to drill them both out on the pillar drill and re tap them with an M6 tap so they can be used again.

The four manifold gaskets fitted to the head. Note that the front gasket is a different shape to the other three and will only fit the front exhaust port.

The manifold bolted on to the head along with the front lifting eye.
It has now been painted with a high temperature manifold paint.
There will be a heat shield made up at some point to protect the plug leads and coolant pipes the run near it.

Just a few more jobs to do, but its about ready to be fitting into the RV.
